Gospel of Christ Fellowship

It is our purpose here, and in all of our gatherings, that Christ Jesus be the primary consideration.

Jesus sends out his 12 with a commission to as they go, preach. He warns them of terrible persecution and assures them that God will provide for them. He also says this before sending them out… ““Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the so
ul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Brethren, let us speak plainly and loudly the truth the Lord has shown us. Let us not fear what may befall us, men can only touch what is temporal

“He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till He have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for His law” (Isa 42:4).

The simple reality is that men inevitably fail. And Jesus overwhelmingly conquers. There are times that this reality doesn’t seem to be so. Jesus cried out from the cross, “It is finished.” As He was dying, He was winning.

In the world we can become weary and failure is a real possibility. But look to the end. Look for the grace to be brought. Look for the reward. Jesus will not fail you and He will not fail the work that He has been given to do. “And he said unto me, It is done. I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is a thirst of the fountain of the water of life freely” (Rev 21:6). He shall not fail nor be discouraged.

2 Corinthians 5:18-20 “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus.  Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.”

All men need to be reconciled to God. We have all sinned, we have all fallen short of His glory, and we all have the wrath of God to face if we remain in our sin. But, God has done a great work of reconciliation. He reached out His arm to save us from His wrath. He sent His Son to pay our debt. He has reconciled us unto Himself. This is a great gift of God. We have this ministry, the ministry of reconciliation. We need to tell the world that they are dying, that they are in sin, that they need to be reconciled, and that God has already done this great work for them! Proclaim this to all people. Come to Him!  Believe on Him! Be reconciled!! He has reconciled us unto Himself!!  And to all those already believing; keep believing, keep the faith, you have been reconciled unto God your Father, live fully unto Him!!

1 Cor 2:12-13 “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual” God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing and given us all things pertaining to life and godliness, the Spirit makes sure we are not ignorant to the abundance we have been given. Through the Spirit we understand and lay hold of unseen realities.

In salvation men come to the knowledge of the truth. The reality of their own frailty and corruption becomes evident as God’s holiness is revealed. Prior to this revelation men are stubborn, obstinate and proud. This is a manifestation of their profound deception. Just think of it, men thinking they are strong, wise and righteous all while they are held captive by the devil and engaged in his will. God is not impressed by the supposed strength of men. He makes it weak. He is not impressed with so called wisdom for He makes it foolishness. And the righteousness of men is but filthy rags in His sight. However when men come to see this reality and they cry out to God in hope that He will be merciful…well God will hear their cry.

Psalms 147:10-11
He does not delight in the strength of the horse;
He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him,
In those who hope in His mercy.

“For l am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels or demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:38

We are in a safe place, my friends.  A very safe place indeed.  No better place to be! Be thankful and rest easy today knowing that our safe haven is in Christ alone.

Though at times we may be tempted to think that we are less, and insignificant in comparison to other brethren, don’t let your adversary deceive you. Every member of the body has its place, function, and purpose according to God’s design. Let us reason on what we know God can do with us. Remember Jeremiah?

“Ah, Lord God! Bohold I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatever I command thee thou shalt speak.” Jer.1:6-7

We have been joined to Christ and in Him there is no limitation and the ability of Christ is far greater than any limitation of our flesh. Brerhren, stand strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10

God is always present, even when you are unaware of Him. His presence is to profound to be measured by mere emotions. He will never leave you, He will strengthen you, He will help you, and uphold you. In times when you feel as if there is distance between yourself and God, it is not because He has moved. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.

Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
