But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
The grace of God is potent. Paul spent his time in Asia ministering to the brethren “with all humility of mind, and with many tears and temptations” (v19). Everywhere he went the Jews were lying in wait to do him harm. Though in all of this he kept nothing back that was profitable to the church. He taught publicly and from house to house. He testified both to Jews and Greeks to repent and believe on Jesus. He was bound by the Holy Spirit to continue doing this even unto Jerusalem where he did not know what would happen only that he knew that bounds and afflictions awaiting him in every city…how much more Jerusalem. But none of these things moved him. That is what grace is capable of accomplishing – Brother Pat Woods
