”For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 2:20-21)
While it is regrettable that there are not many for will genuinely care for the well-being of the brethren, it is a great blessing to have some. Count yourself blessed if you have someone with whom the Lord has knit your heart. This is someone who will enter into the work of the Lord with you and for you. Jonathan once said to David “whatever you yourself desire, I will do it for you” (1 Sam 20:4). And David showed great care to Mephibosheth on account of his love for Jonathan. That is a precious kinship that the Lord is able to bring about. It is good for us to labor to be Jonathan for the David’s in our lives and vice versa. It is good to be as Timothy for Paul. Foster the relationships that the Lord has formed in your life. You and they will be blessed by it.
