Gospel of Christ Fellowship

It is our purpose here, and in all of our gatherings, that Christ Jesus be the primary consideration.

”I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.” John 10:9

Will be saved, not might be saved.  Jesus is the gate, the only path to take to the Father.

Jesus, our gate, our path, our shepherd, our navigator and guide. Our compass when we’re lost, our light in the dark.  The bible couldn’t be more clear.

“But small is the gate, and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it .”  Matthew 7:14

This life has many bumps and turns in the road.  Thankfully, we know which direction to take when we reach a fork in the road.

All who enter through the gate will never be lost, at least not for long.  Our internal navigational system, the Holy Spirit, will recalculate and put us back on the right path every time.

”All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” 2 Timothy 3:16

Let us never take for granted the divinely inspired writings that are recorded in the bible. Every word contained in the scriptures is useful, purposely composed, and preserved for our benefit. We live not by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from God. Search the scriptures that you might find Jesus and partake daily of the necessary nourishment that is received as we read and keep the things that are said.

Jesus said, “whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple” (Lk 14:33).

Anything that ties us down, enslaves us…even if that thing is a “good thing.” If we are not willing to forsake it in order to gain Christ, we will, in the end, have neither. Included in this phrase “all things” are family, houses, lands and even our own lives. Jesus knows that these dear things and our desire to preserve them may come to compete with our love for Him. And we can’t serve two masters. But whoever does forsake these things will receive an hundredfold in this life and eternal life in the world to come. No one will be ashamed for following Jesus. The very first disciples whom Jesus called “forsook all and followed Him” (Lk 5:11). Will you do the same?

The following are some “Final” words in the epistles. They are a sort of conclusion to what was already said. They are not necessarily the major doctrines set forth in the apostles’ writings but are concluding exhortations that the readers might live in the doctrine that was taught. I find them encouraging and desirable.
2 Corinthians 13:11

Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
Ephesians 6:10

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Philippians 3:1

Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is not tedious, but for you it is safe.
Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
1 Thessalonians 4:1

Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God.
2 Thessalonians 3:1

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for not all men have faith.
2 Timothy 4:8

Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
1 Peter 3:8-9

Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

”Shout joy to the Lord, all the earth.

Worship the the Lord with gladness, come before Him with joyful songs.

Know that the Lord is God, it is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.”Psalm 100: 1-3

Singing His praises must be such a beautiful aroma for our Lord, coming from our hearts will never be off key or out of tune.  Our Father loves us who believe and trust in Him and Him alone.  Today… Make a joyful noise unto our Lord and please Him  like none other.

”And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and He doeth according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?” Dan 4:35.

Let that resonate in your mind and heart. If God can do whatever He wants and you have been appointed to obtain salvation through faith in Christ. Who can stop it?

By the way, this came out of the mouth of a heathen king. How much greater insights do we have, having been given the mind of Christ, the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, and the gospel of Christ. I exhort you to declare the decree of your King.

”Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ” 2Cor1:3-5

If you are seeking comfort by someone or something other than God you will search in vain. God is rich in mercy, it is his very nature and he is the creator and deliver of ALL comfort. Run to him during your tribulation and remember that those that are given much, much is required. The comfort you receive is to be utilized in comforting others. Allow God to use you to minister comfort.

”Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect” Romans 12:2

The world is a treacherous place for the believer; however, He that is in us is greater than he that is in the world. I exhort myself and you to not let the world have a greater effect on you than the words of truth. This world is temporary and anything that it offers will fade. The word of God is life-giving, eternal, and powerful for the saving of the soul. As you walk through this life, meditate and think on things of above. You will be transformed and you will be strengthened to fight a good fight of faith. – Sister Brandi

Do not be hasty. Do not fret. In a time of great sorrow because of the judgment of God, Judah found themselves in captivity in Babylon with their city destroyed and temple ruined. But their preservation revealed somewhat of the intent that God had in restoring the people and fulfilling the promises made to their fathers. Their very existence was a display of His mercy and His faithfulness. They simply had to be patient until the promises would come to pass.

It is good for us, too, especially in times of despair and anguish, to remember those precious promises of God and His unwavering faithfulness. Be of good cheer and abound in hope. The Lord is good and blessed are they that wait for His salvation.

Lamentations 3:21-26  This I recall to my mind,Therefore I have hope.Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,“Therefore I hope in Him!”The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,To the soul who seeks Him.It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the Lord.
