vs 1-2 “When pride comes, then comes shame; but with the humble is wisdom.” Be humble. Humility comes from comparing yourself to the perfection of God.

vs 4 “Riches do not profit in the day of wrath.” Physical possessions are not the main thing. Focus on eternal things. Store up treasures in heaven.

vs 6-11 Righteous people are good for all but the wicked are good for no one. The wicked are harmful to themselves and all who are around them, however, they will not overcome the righteous. God even said that if Sodom had enough righteous people in it, He would have spared it. Righteous people have a great impact.

vs 12-14 Be careful with your words. Choose them wisely. Do gossip. Be discreet. Seek wise counselors.

vs 16-19 Every person will reap what they sow.

vs 21 “Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished; but the posterity of the righteous will be delivered.” Let God be the judge. Daniel and the lion’s den shows us that God can save the righteous man and destroy the ungodly at the same time.

vs 24-26 This is a kingdom principle. It is better to give than to receive. Be generous, not stingy. Treat others the way you want to be treated. God will reward those who give of themselves.

vs 30-31 Souls are the main thing. If you are going to win something, win souls. Jesus is the Bishop of souls. He came to save men’s souls.
